Tim Fray is the founder and CEO of the Hospes Group of businesses and a prominent figure in the hospitality industry. With over 35 years of experience, Tim is a seasoned expert in the field, having worked his way up from the back of a restaurant to becoming a key player in some of the industry's biggest names. He represents Executives PowerUp, an initiative that helps identify and qualify black businesses ready for scaling through investment, franchising, branding, and marketing.
Throughout his career, Tim has demonstrated a deep understanding of what corporate brands require and has trained some of their key players. Under his leadership, the Hospes Group of businesses provides practical certification training and development courses through its TFIT certification programs to help black companies achieve impeccable customer service.
Starting as a back-of-house worker in the mid-to-late 80s, Tim worked his way up to become part of the management team for the Italian concept Grisantis, where he helped open and run three locations in the Greater Toronto Area. He then worked with Milestones, a subsidiary of CARA, in various management positions and was involved in launching Milestones locations across Canada, training hundreds of staff in the process.
In 2006, Tim was hired as Senior Management at Pegasus Hospitality Group and served as the Director of Operations, setting the standard for Banquet Hall's Front of House Service for five years. His extensive experience, unwavering commitment to the industry, and passion for helping black businesses scale make him a valuable asset to the business community.
